PACHACAMAC INCA PYRAMIDS TOUR
- You will see huge pyramids built of adobe, Inca trails, Inca palaces, a green valley which is the last valley of the city of Lima, the pyramid of the Temple of the Sun, an impressive view of the sea and the foothills of the Andes. You will also see part of the Inca underground aqueducts.
- It was a very important oracle in the time of the Inka, but incredibly until now it is important for some local indigenous people. The name Pachacamac is Quechua and means “creator of the home”.
- Everyone wants to come to Pachacamac to visit and thank the creator, because we follow the philosophy that we are part of nature.
- Pachacamac was also a place of high-level studies in astronomy and architecture. It was also a place of ancestral rituals and human sacrifices as payment to Mother Earth. The indigenous people celebrated great festivities in honor of the gods.
- Scientists recommend visiting Pachacamac first, as an introduction to Inca culture, before going to Cusco and Machu Picchu, so you can better understand Inca traditions, engineering and philosophy.
