It is one of the deepest canyons in the world, and its vast beauty offers a unique combination of landscapes, ancient culture and biodiversity. Colca Valley Tour
02:45 a.m. approx. :We will pick you up from your hotel and begin our journey to Colca. 🏨🚗
We will travel for about 3.5 hours until we reach the traditional town of Chivay. 🌄
06:30 a.m. :Enjoy a local breakfast in Chivay. 🍽️
07:00 a.m. :We continue our journey towards the Cruz del Cóndor, soaking in the stunning landscapes of the Colca Valley. 🌿💫
Once we reach the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, you’ll have the chance to admire the beauty of the Colca Canyon and the majestic flight of the Condors. 🦅
09:00 a.m. :On our way back to Chivay, we will make several stops:
Visit the town of Pinchollo, home to the Wayrapunko Viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the Colca Valley.
Visit the Antahuilque viewpoint, where you can see ancient pre-Inca terraces in the shape of an amphitheater and the mysterious lagoons of the valley. 🏛️💧
Next, we’ll visit the town of Maca and its colonial church ⛪, with an optional tasting of local drinks, including the famous Colca Sour. 🍹
We’ll then head to the town of Yanque, known for its beautiful church, one of the most stunning in the Colca Valley. 🏰
11:30 a.m. :Optionally, you can relax in the thermal baths (entrance fee not included), with water temperatures ranging from 35°C to 38°C. 💆♀️💧
1:00 p.m. :Enjoy lunch in Chivay (lunch is not included). 🍴
2:00 p.m. :On our way back, we’ll stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes (4910 meters above sea level), where you can admire the western mountain range. ⛰️
We’ll continue to Toccra Bofedales, where you’ll spot a variety of migratory birds, including flamingos. 🦩
We’ll drive along the snow-capped Chachani mountain, passing through Pampa Cañahuas and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to beautiful South American camelids and vicuñas. 🦙❄️
Finally, we’ll arrive back in Arequipa by 5:00 p.m.. 🕔
