It was fun, enjoyable and informative… as well as getting some great exercise along the way! Amadeo is the consummate professional and an outstanding guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Haku ensures that you are in safe hands, and towards the end of the tour we all enjoyed a delicious Peruvian ice cream compliments of Haku Tours!VerifiedAnneF2024-09-19Half day tour Lima We had an extremely interesting afternoon on the half day tour around some of the historical sites of Lima. Saul was a friendly and informative guide with lots of knowledge about the history of Lima and an enthusiasm for his subject.VerifiedAnthony M2024-09-18Wonderful Joseph and Nataly provided us with the most amazing cultural experiences in all of our travels throughout Peru. From shopping at the local market, cooking together and sharing our meal, they individualized every aspect of the cooking class. Please do not leave Peru without experiencing this event with Haku.VerifiedJorge2024-09-18If you come to Lima, you got to take this tour Cesar was an amazing tour guide, full of energy and great information! The tour was packed with things to do, not a dull moment.VerifiedAnneF2024-09-17Great evening at the water show! Fantastic evening at the water show with Leonardo who was a friendly and attentive guide. Leonardo was informative and had a fun lively way of imparting this information. The evening was a lot more interesting with the guide telling us more about what we could see at the park and the history. A great evening and would definitely recommend!Verifiedrmwhitt442024-09-16Enjoyable and informative and filling dinner cooking class my friend and I had a wonderful wonderful cooking experience! The group was small, just five of us – – perfect for preparing local dishes which we then enjoyed eating. The chef was engaging and informative – – he had limited English but his assistant Chef was there to interpret his directions, and they were both very hands-on in assisting us to prepare the vegetables, the meat, and all of the spices that were used to prepare our traditional Peruvian food. Then we sat down to eat and enjoyed a delicious meal, two courses. There was no alcohol offered and I would suggest asking if you can bring your own bottle for your enjoyment. The location is on the ninth floor of a commercial building in the mirror floors area, very easy to find and very safe to walk at night. Thank you for a wonderful experience!VerifiedHeather H2024-09-16The Haku Wine Tour is little known but fantastic! Haku made an absolutely incredible effort trying to make a wine tour happen for a solo traveler. I am so grateful for your commitment to service - it was a gift to have a wine tour with you! Amadeo was my tour guide. He is knowledgeable, articulate, and joyful in delivering the history of wine (and Pisco) production and consumption in Peru. I learned so much and I also enjoyed a few cups of tasty wine! After the Haku Wine Tour I would recommend visiting Casa Colina restaurant - they are the only restaurant in Lima with an exclusively Peruvian wine bar. The bartender and staff are very knowledgeable about Peruvian wine and fully capable of directing clients to a bottle with a profile suited to their preference. Table wine as well as high-end Peruvian wines are available.VerifiedCarolyn M2024-09-15Amadeus was a great guide. What a fabulous tour! Our guide Amadeus was exceptional. He spoke excellent English and went at a perfect pace explaining all about the Historical area of Lima. We were treated to seeing a funeral procession with the Peruvians in their national costume. It also happened to be the burial day of the President so police and people everywhere but Amadeus navigated the streets very well. Loved it thanks Amadeus.VerifiedYY2024-09-14Thank you so much Cesar and Joseph👨🍳😊 The Cesar was really nice, and he was constantly talking, filling us in with interesting facts about Peru , and teaching us Spanish. Such a bright personality!! I was intrigued by the market and how everything was so organic and locally produced, and yet it was so cheap! I bought a bundle of wool for knitting(My sister is into crocheting). They had a wall full of wool!!As for the cooking experience, I feel like the group really cooperated a lot and we were able to enjoy the experience very much. I especially liked the avocado and mashed potato sandwich!! Everything down to the pots and pans were traditional and related to the culture of Peru!(We used clay pots and steams the potatoes instead of using water and boiling them.) Everybody in the group we worked with were so kind and talented, we were so grateful that we had the chance to cook with you guys!! I personally loved doing the Wak, the fire came flaming up near my face!? It was so cool! I found it interesting that it was a combination of Chinese food and Lima’s. Cesar and Joseph were our chefs. Thank you so much!️ If you ever get the chance to come to Lima, definitely do the cooking class!(Make the Avo & mashed potatoes sandwich!)
