Explore the fascinating El Brujo Archaeological Complex, located in the Chicama Valley, just 60 km north of Trujillo. Here, the Lady of Cao, a 1,500-year-old tattooed mummy, was discovered. Visit the Huaca Cao Viejo and the Cao Museum, and taste the traditional underground-fermented drink, Añejo de Cao, in the nearby village of Magdalena de Cao.

EL BRUJO ARCHEOLOGICAL COMPLEX & MUMMY OF CAO
Let yourself be amazed by the incredible temples of the Moche civilization! We will drive to Chicama Valley, about 60 km north of Trujillo, to explore the El Brujo archaeological complex. Excavations here began in 1990, uncovering the Lady of Cao, a 1,500-year-old tattooed female mummy.
Visit the Huaca Cao Viejo and the Cao Museum, and experience the traditional underground-fermented drink, Añejo de Cao, in the village of Magdalena de Cao.
The tour continues with a delicious seafood buffet lunch in the historic fishing village of Huanchaco, one of Peru’s most famous beaches, where traditional caballitos de totora boats are still used by local fishermen today.
